Niko the little reindeer loved Christmas. He loved the twinkly lights and the shiny baubles on the big green tree. But this year, Niko felt a little bit sad.

Mama Elara saw her little reindeer looking so glum. "What's the matter, my sweet Niko?" she asked softly, giving him a warm nuzzle.

A tiny tear rolled down Niko's nose. "My star," he whispered. "My favorite shiny star fell down. Now it's broken."

Papa Orion came into the room. He saw Niko's sad face and the broken star. "Oh, dear," he said kindly. "It's okay to feel sad when something you love gets broken."

Papa Orion smiled a gentle smile. "Your feelings are important. But what if we make a brand new star? A super-special Niko star!"

Niko sniffled and wiped his teary eye with his hoof. A new star? His ears, which had been droopy, perked up just a little. "A Niko star?" he asked.

Mama Elara brought out colorful paper, sparkly glitter, and sticky glue. "Let's make the most wonderful star the tree has ever seen!" she cheered.

Niko and Papa Orion worked together on the floor. Snip, snip, went the paper. Dab, dab, went the glue. Niko started to giggle. He felt happy making something new with his papa.

"More sparkles!" Niko shouted with glee, shaking glitter all over their new star. It shimmered and shone! He felt so proud of what they had made.

Mama and Papa lifted Niko up, up, up! He carefully placed the new star on the very top of the tree. It wasn't the old star. It was better! It was Niko's star, and his heart was full of Christmas joy.
