Once, in a big, happy city, two best friends, Misha the Bear and Pasha the Fox, noticed something was wrong. Their friends, the squirrels and the rabbits, were not playing together in the big city park. Everyone wanted the big red slide all to themselves. It made the park feel sad and quiet.

"This isn't right," said Misha in his big, gentle voice. "It's no fun when friends don't share." Pasha nodded, his clever ears twitching. "You are right, Misha. When we are not together, we feel grumpy. We need to help them remember how to be friends."

Pasha the Fox suddenly jumped up! "I have an idea! We won't be bossy. We will show them how much fun it is to be together! We will make a friendship parade!" Misha the Bear's face lit up. "A parade! What a wonderful idea, Pasha!"

So Misha and Pasha made colorful flags from leaves and flowers. Misha found his little drum, and Pasha found a shiny whistle. They went to the squirrels and said, "Come join our friendship parade!"

Then they went to the rabbits. "We're celebrating being friends!" said Pasha. "Come march with us!" The rabbits saw the fun flags and heard the happy whistle and decided to join in.

Soon, Misha was gently tapping his drum, boom-boom-boom. Pasha was whistling a happy tune. The squirrels and rabbits marched behind them, waving their flags. They had forgotten all about being grumpy over the slide. They were a team!

They all paraded together to the big red slide. Everyone laughed and cheered. They realized it was much more fun to go down the slide together, taking turns, than it was to have it all alone. The park was filled with happy sounds again.

Now, every year on a special day called Unity Day, the whole city remembers that being together is best. There is a very big parade with brave helpers who march to show they are a team that keeps everyone safe.

After the parade, there is a big festival in the park! Families share yummy pies and dance to cheerful music. Everyone feels happy and warm inside, like one big family sharing the best day together.

Misha and Pasha love Unity Day. It reminds them, and everyone, that helping each other and sharing with friends is the best way to feel happy. And that is the best feeling of all.
